Why avoid drilling when you rent

Unless the landlord agrees, drilling into a wall can be treated as damage. Adhesive solutions let you decorate without putting your security deposit at risk.

The steps

  1. Clean the surface (household alcohol) and let it dry.
  2. Check the maximum load stated by the manufacturer.
  3. Wait for the adhesive to set before hanging the picture.
  4. When you move out, remove the adhesive as the manufacturer’s instructions say.
